Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of degree do you have? I have a degree in forensic biology
What do you do? I’m working towards being a latent print examiner
Do you accept questions? Yes, I do. Click on the ASK ME! link
Do you ever post photos of yourself? No. This blog isn’t about what I look like and I don’t want it to become one, either. Sorry.
Do you answer every ask you get? Not necessarily. Some just aren’t appropriate to answer.
Do you watch CSI? No.
Do I need a degree to be in the forensic field? More and more places are requiring at least a 2 year degree for entry level positions. Having at least a 2 year degree would definitely help you land a job.
Have you ever seen a dead person? Yes.
What’s it like to see a dead person? The first time is always strange. There is an eerie stillness and quietness. Eventually, you get used to it and it’s not a big deal.
I’m not sure I can handle the sights and smells of a crime scene. Can I still be a CSI? I would advise against being a CSI if you can’t deal with horrible smells and horrible sights. You can still be involved in forensics though. There are plenty of lab jobs or property jobs you could get that are perfect for people who are squeamish.
How realistic is CSI the TV show? LOL not at all!
Can you tell me how to get away with a crime? No.
Do you do contests or giveaways? Yes! I try to do a question of the day daily and I’ve done one freebie giveaway so far and have plans to do more.
Do you follow back? I will if it’s a personal friend of mine or if it is a medical, forensic, or anatomy blog. Occasionally I will follow others.
